An inclusive process for engaging young people in place-making

  • Untitled post 3

The Placeholders project is a research initiative partnership between Bruntwood and Creative Manchester. The project aims to create, test, and refine a process for engaging young people in town-centre place-making, with a particular focus on public spaces, sense of ownership and the barriers and opportunities in place for girls and young women. We are looking specifically at place-making in relation to Bruntwood’s development plans for Stretford Mall.

We are currently in the process of planning a series of engagement events and workshops with young people which will take place over the next few months. These will aim to explore young people’s relationship with places in Stretford, and ask them to identify changes and improvements they would like to make.
